Introduction for Master Educators – Anatomy Course and Project
Dear Master Educator,
Welcome to your copy of The Anatomy Course and Project – a required component of The Pilates Team Teacher Training Programs. This course has been developed to meet the standards set by the International Teacher Training Approval Program (ITTAP) and the National Pilates Certification Program (NPCP).
The Anatomy Course and Project is a mandatory prerequisite for all students pursuing:
-
Mat Teacher Certification
-
Mat and Reformer Teacher Certification
-
Full Equipment Teacher Certification
Students must successfully complete The Anatomy Course and Project prior to beginning any of the movement modules in their training pathway. This requirement ensures a consistent and comprehensive understanding of essential anatomical principles and biomechanics, forming the basis for safe, effective, and intelligent Pilates instruction.
Upon successful completion of all anatomy quizzes and projects, each Pilates Team Teacher Training student will receive a Certificate of Completion. Master Educators will present this Certificate to students to verify their successful completion of this prerequisite. This certificate is a prerequisite for obtaining their Apprentice Teaching Certificate later in the program. Additionally, this Certificate of Completion qualifies students for 16 NCPT Continuing Education Credits (CECs) once they successfully pass the National Pilates Certification Exam and become certified.
Completion of this course is also required for eligibility to take the Nationally Certified Pilates Teachers Exam. Please ensure all students meet this requirement before progressing further in their program.
